In a certain moment, everyone starts to think, which way to choose regarding a profession, a job, and a marital status (which is the main). All of us are social beings born out of the unity of a man and a woman are called to have certain marital status. Nevertheless, not everyone gets married; many live alone; some of us choose life devoted to God. How not to make a wrong choice and understand in time what you really want?
A person belongs to one of the halves of the humanity from the very beginning after being born; that, actually, defines our way of life, to a certain extent. A woman and a man see this world and themselves differently since their childhood. It is necessary to remember that sexuality is a big gift from God, which needs a whole life to be developed – many situations, relationships, meetings to open ourselves as a woman or a man up.

The work to build our future starts already at school. School micro-universe is the environment, where the opposite sex behavior models are formed and settled. Boys start to like girls and vice versa already on this stage. Analyze your school experience, your relationships at that time. What did you feel? About what did you dream? Did you see yourself with anybody or did not? Can you find a tip for yourself?
If you are sure that a happy family is your happiness then obviously verify you know what family means for you. What meaning everyday life with those people has for you, taking care of them, children, chores, and responsibility. Does that scare you? You will not get afraid if your vocation is to be married. God, in fact, gives more energy than we have.
Being alone? Such a status is also a choice. It always has diverse motivational prehistories, sometimes painful and, sometimes, joyous. It is worth to understand that if you are alone it means that it is God’s will. Unfortunately, the unmarried suffer from continuous bullying from society very often. Still, you are not obliged to answer thousands of questions like “why don’t you marry, you are already so many years old, what do you think about?” This is a problem of those who ask that. Your choice is your choice. Maybe, God entrusted you with something super-important? Ask God about power and understanding of your vocation and he will not make you wait for His answer.
There will come a moment and you will get an irresistible feeling to devote yourself to something divine – God. You choose a monastic life. Well, that is great. Nevertheless, do not rush things. Try to get ready – live according to established monastic schedule with praying, obedience, misery at least for a month. Then go! And, pray so that God to help you to understand what is right.
If you are a young man and feel a vocation to serve God as a priest, test yourself. What has become the reason and the main motivation of your choice? Has not it been the reason that you were not sure what to choose and did not like any of professions? Remember of longest queues to a confessional – every person will expect an advice and help from you; besides, to serve during weekdays and without holidays, day and night – is it ok? Then go forward – study!
God has a special plan for everyone. Let us trust Him to make a right choice!
